SURREY HILLS HONEY:

I began keeping bees in 2013, starting with just two "colonies" (hives), but expanding over the years. Today there are eight hives in the apiary

I took a course in how to keep honey bees and, in doing so, learned a lot about these amazing insects without which, we would not be able to have a proper breakfast! I have become extremely fond of them and, at the same time, passionate about looking after them. It is a relaxing hobby, but at the same time greatly rewarding.

Throughout this year's beautiful, warm and sunny Spring the bees have been making and storing mouth-watering golden honey: 2020 has been my most productive spring harvest to date. Extracting the honey from the frames has taken a few weeks, but it is now ready to be spread on top of toast and drizzled over yogurt!
